BC Forest Discovery Centre

A few minutes drive north, you can find the BC Forest Discovery Centre on a 40 acre site where a working steam locomotive puffs around a 3 kilometre track by Somenos Lake. Great for kids, special events in the summer and at Christmas.

Kinzol Trestle

An amazing feature can be found just south at Shawingan Lake. The Kinzol Trestle towers 44 metres high and is 188 metres long, spanning the Koksilah River. Completely safe to walk on, this trestle has been lovingly restored and is well worth seeing.

Cowichan Bay

Drive down to beautiful “Cow Bay” and have fish and chips at the renowned Rock Code Cafe. Have a stroll around and take it all in.
